Come spend the evening with us.
Access Music City Evenings are gatherings at Nashville venues that welcome the full disability community. Some are free and hosted by Empower Tennessee. Some are partner events where a Nashville venue shares a ticketed evening with our stakeholder community. Museums, performance spaces, galleries, restaurants. Come as you are.
You’re Welcome.
A place to be, without explaining yourself.
Access Music City Evenings are events at Nashville venues that have committed to welcoming the disability community. Each one is built with physical access as the baseline and sensory, communication, and social access as active design choices, not after-the-fact accommodations.
Some evenings Empower Tennessee hosts directly. Some we partner with Nashville arts and cultural organizations on, so our stakeholders can attend events they might otherwise miss. Either way, the intention is the same: come as you are.
Two ways we do this.
Hosted Evenings (free)
Empower Tennessee hosts the event at a Nashville venue. We bring the program, the stakeholder community, and the hospitality. The venue provides the space. No ticket, no cost, open registration. Everyone is welcome.
Hosted Evenings typically include light refreshments, space for conversation, and an intentional welcome for guests who bring service animals, attendants, or assistive devices. If you're not sure whether an event fits your access needs, email us before you come. We'll describe exactly what to expect.
Partner Evenings (ticketed)
A Nashville arts or cultural partner is producing an event: a concert, a performance, a show. Empower Tennessee partners with them to share the event with our stakeholder community and, when possible, to offer a limited block of free tickets for people who might not otherwise be able to attend.
Free tickets for Partner Evenings are offered through a targeted invitation to people already connected with Empower Tennessee. If you receive one, please only request a ticket if you're really planning to attend. The block is limited, and a ticket requested-and-not-used is a ticket another stakeholder could have had.
Partner Evenings are also open to stakeholders who want to purchase tickets directly through the venue. We'll share those details when they're available.

What you can count on. What to ask for.
Every AMC Evening is held at a venue with confirmed physical access: step-free entry, accessible restrooms, and accessible parking or drop-off. That's the baseline, not the ceiling.
Sensory, communication, and social access vary by venue and event. If you need ASL interpretation, captioning, a low-sensory space, large-print materials, a service-animal-friendly area, or help getting to the right door, email amc@empowertn.org before the event. We'll describe what's available and help coordinate.
We can also help with getting there. If you're not sure which bus gets you close, which entrance to use, or where to park, email us. We'll walk you through it.
Want to host an AMC Evening?
Access Music City Evenings grow when Nashville venues invite us. If your venue, organization, or event would make a good AMC Evening, free hosted or partner ticketed, we'd love to talk.
